Ram Mazumder

Asset Management Consultant/Engineer• Arcadis U.S.

I am an Asset Management Consultant/Engineer at Arcadis U.S. I recently accomplished postdoctoral training in the NIST Center of Excellence for Risk-Based Community Resilience Planning at the University of Kansas, advised by Elaina Sutley. My research focuses on application of probabilistic methods for risk and resilience analysis . of civil infrastructure systems and buildings subjected to natural hazards. I am primarily interested in developing a comprehensive community disaster resilience analysis framework to narrow the gaps between physical, economic, and social needs of the community. This website contains information about my academic background and research. Thank you for visiting my website. If you are interested in learning more about my research or interested in future collaboration, please contact me.

📚 Updates

As a PI, I have received one CDRI Fellowship to study community-level cyclone resilience of infrastructure systems, and two Weather Ready Research Grants from the Natural Hazards Center.

Previously…

I obtained my PhD from Case Western Reserve University, where I was advised by Yue Li. My doctoral research was focused on asset management of water distribution systems. I hold a Postgraduate Diploma from University of Geneva, a Masters degree from University of Rome 'La Sapienza', and a Bachelors Degree from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology.
